Andy was the kind of man who did not need to be the loudest voice in the room. He let his actions speak. He believed in service, not just in theory, but in practice. Together, we worked side by side in Brothers of the Bread, feeding those who had little, doing our best. He gave his time freely and without complaint. He showed up early and stayed late. He did not talk about helping. He helped.
One lesson Andy talked about. “Watch the ones who take their hands out of their pockets when the work starts. That is who you want beside you.” He was always one of those men.
He believed it is better to help others than to help yourself. And he lived that truth every day. He knew that real strength was in lifting others up. In every loaf of bread handed out, in every moment spent serving someone who had been forgotten, Andy was there, quietly doing what needed to be done.
He left this world better than he found it. He left us better than he found us. That is all any of us can really hope for.
Rest easy, Brother. We will carry the work from here.

“Well done thou good and faithful servant.
Enter thou into the joy of the Lord” Amen.
